Coder Compassion Campaign

In Honor of Peggy and her Sister Jackie Coder

Instead of setting up yet another foundation, we have decided to campaign for different Local Foundations serving Parker County.  In the past we have campaigned for Center of Hope and currently we are campaigning for Careity Foundation.

This beautifully written and photographed book has been donated to us by the author and fellow Yogini Vikiann Gunter of Parker County Today.  The books are for sale for $25.00, 100% of the proceeds go to Careity Foundation to help women with out insurance providing them with FREE Mammograms as well as a host of other services!

What a treat!! We were so excited to meet her.  She came to visit with her daughter Melissa, and son Mark, as well as her niece Amy from New York.  I received this letter from Melissa after their visit.

Without a doubt, our trip to Aledo was the highlight of my cousin Amy’s visit to Texas.  She used to live in Dallas so she didn’t come here to do tourist things ~~ she wanted to spend time with my mom and go to ALEDO.  She went back to New York city on Monday.  Now her sister (my cousin) Kathryn is wanting to get back to Texas to visit Aledo ~~ she also lives in New York city.  My mom (Peggy) and our side of the family have always lived in the Dallas-FW area.  My mom and I live in Arlington, and my brother Mark that was with us Saturday lives in Addison.  My mom has had Parkinson’s disease for 17 years,  She was excited to meet you!  After we returned home last Saturday, we were inspired to go through old photo albums and found pictures of the home and the barber shop (now the framing shop), many with Amy and I playing in the yard,  We just wanted to share with you our memories of our grandparents and the home.  They passed away when I was 10, in mid-August 1965.  My grandma passed away, and then the day after her funeral, my granddaddy died.  So I remember that being a very hard time.  He had a weak heart all his life from having rheumatic fever as a child and I know her death was very hard on him, so my mom always said granddaddy died of a broken heart.  And I do remember that our grandparents were well thought of, so anyone in town who remembers the Coder family would also be very happy with what you did with their home.

Kimberly, we feel so blessed to finally meet you and to know that the home is in good hands again.  My very best wishes for success in your yoga business.  Feel free to contact me anytime.
